SVP Business Development – Casinos, Asia at Hard Rock
Daniel Cheng spearheads the development of new business opportunities for Hard Rock in the Asia Pacific region and reinforces the company’s emphasis to extend the Hard Rock brand footprint into Asia, as well as being the first senior management representative in the region to the rapidly growing network of Hard Rock’s license, management & franchise partners. His career track record in the industry began with Las Vegas-based Mikohn Gaming in the early 2000s, and subsequently with Bally Technologies as its Asia Director to penetrate the Macau and developing Asian casino market. Before joining Hard Rock, he was with the Genting Group for 9 years, where he held multiple roles from group marketing strategy, to resort development including the company’s first U.S. gaming property, Resorts World New York.
An engineer by discipline, he had accumulated a wealth of experience across Asia and worldwide, including Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, China, Australia, United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. Daniel graduated in psychology from SUSS in Singapore, and holds tertiary academic qualifications in marketing and engineering.
