Specialist Gambling Consultant – Gambling, Consumer and Not for profit Policy and Regulation
Linda has recently retired as the Executive Director, Policy and Projects, Office of Regulatory Policy in the Queensland Department of Justice and Attorney General. She is now a specialist gambling consultant.
Linda has extensive experience in senior executive roles providing legislative and strategic policy advice to Ministers and chief executives. She has developed, advised and lead major initiatives and reforms in gambling regulatory policy and practice, including introduction of state-wide keno and interactive gambling; lotto online; privatization of the state lottery and totalizator; and licensing of new casinos and gambling operators.
Linda recently led a team that developed a new contemporary casino regulatory framework and legislation to support the multi-billion dollar Queens Wharf Integrated Resort development in Brisbane. Other recent projects include a review and modernization of the Australian/New Zealand Gaming Machine National Standard and review of not-for-regulatory arrangements in Queensland and the National On-line Gambling Reforms.
She is a graduate of the University of Queensland (Commerce) and the Queensland University of Technology (Laws).
